Teh O Ice 50 Cent & Boat Noodle opened in Taman Nusantara, Gelang Patah, with a simple idea: a proper Southern Thai boat noodle at a price a student can pay, and a teh o ais for 50 sen. More than a thousand Google reviews later, it is a regular stop for families from Iskandar Puteri, Bukit Indah, Nusajaya and Skudai, and for Singaporeans ten minutes in from the Tuas Second Link.
Thamada Village Restaurant in Larkin is the same family's second kitchen: a bigger, greener dining room near Larkin Sentral and JB Sentral, with the full Southern Thai menu. Nasi kerabu, tomyam seafood, crying tiger, pad kra pao, khao mok gai, sangkaya and banana caramel: Southern Thai cooking, priced the kampung way.
Both kedai are halal (no pork, no lard, no alcohol), air-conditioned, and take walk-ins, WhatsApp reservations, pickup orders, GrabFood and foodpanda. Menu, prices and opening hours on this page are the current 2025 menu; prices are before 10% service charge and 6% SST.
